Q: When do I pick up my bib?

On race day, between 8-8:50am, near Sather Gate on Sproul Plaza at the UC Berkeley campus.

Q: Do you have an option for team registration?

No we do not currently have an option for team registration.

Q: Just wondering if people walk the 5K? I was a runner, but have developed sciatica problems and my doctor doesn’t want me to run.

Yes, feel free to walk or run.

Q: Is this a closed course?

No, runners will be going through the UC Berkeley campus, which will have some people walking around. Please be mindful not to run over anybody. There are a few minor crosswalks during the section on Bancroft, so look before you cross!

Q: Are there refunds?

Sorry, we will not be able to provide refunds or transfer your registration to someone else.

Q: Where will the proceeds go to?

All proceeds from the 5K will go to Filter of Hope, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides clean drinking water filters to impoverished families in 12 Latin American countries. The 5K is held by a team of 20+ UC Berkeley students and alumni who are going to Guatemala during spring break in 2026 to personally hand-deliver and set up these water filters.
